I have extensive experience providing advice and counsel on healthcare-related employee matters and litigating healthcare employee disputes. Specifically, I have fourteen years litigating employment matters, over six of which were spent as Deputy General Counsel - Employment for a 13,000-employee national healthcare company which provides skilled nursing rehabilitation centers, long-term care centers, assisted living communities, independent living communities, long-term acute care hospitals, post-acute psychiatric hospitals, and substance abuse centers. In this role, I gained particularized knowledge as it relates to the intersect of employee and healthcare laws. In addition, I spent 8 years advising state and federal judges in employment matters and two years serving as the sole disciplinary hearing officer for a large public school district. This unique understanding of judicial thinking, coupled with my experience serving as a neutral for AAA, FINRA, EEOC, Northern and Southern District U.S. District Courts, USA&M, and over 100 hours of mediation and arbitration training, render me the ideal neutral to resolve healthcare disputes.
