I believe the process of arbitration should be fundamentally fair but also more streamlined than full-blown litigation. I work with counsel for the parties to set the appropriate prehearing schedule - and then stick to the agreed deadlines, absent good cause - which I have found avoids undue surprise at hearing. I take a fair-minded, no-nonsense approach to the hearing itself and the subsequent award, and, ultimately, I am told I bring great value to the parties' arbitration process.

Fees and Hours

My rate is $4000 per day

I charge for travel time as follows:

Billed in half-day increments of $2000 per four hours; if less than one hour travel each way, I bill at my hourly rate of $500 per hour.

I charge for cancellations as follows:

Cancellations or postponements on fewer than 28 calendar days' notice incur a fee of $4000 per day reserved.

Other information about my fees:

Study time (i.e., deliberation on dispositive motions and posthearing award matters) billed in half-day increments of $2000 per four hours. All other time billed at my hourly rate of $500 per hour.

I am willing to schedule meetings and hearings at night or on weekends.
