As an arbitrator and a mediator, I bring to the table not only my extensive trial experience, legal acumen and ability to analyze risk, but just as importantly my common sense, passion for resolving conflict and ability and willingness to empathize and listen. I most recently served for over a decade as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of National Life Group, one of America's oldest life insurance companies. Prior to National Life, I led the litigation department at MassMutual and was counsel for UNUM Corporation. At the outset of my career I was an associate and then partner at Pierce Atwood in Portland Maine where I was a trial lawyer. I am a member of ARIAS US and serve as an arbitrator in reinsurance disputes.

No charge for travel time.
No charge for cancellations more than 60 days prior to hearing (other than for work already performed). Cancellations made within 60 days of hearing incur charge of 50% of estimated fees.
