I will manage the ADR process to a fair, effective and efficient resolution for the parties using in-person or online forum. As an individual who has spent several years as a business manager and as many as an attorney, I am uniquely qualified with a well-rounded experience as a business professional and a legal and regulatory attorney. I understand the issues in healthcare as a provider with the tensions to deliver quality care in the most efficient manner possible; as a business management professional to have a cost effective operation; and as a user to receive the most effective care I am able to get from the healthcare professionals. I see all sides of the dispute and am willing to listen and make good and fair decisions in arbitration. Further, I have excellent arbitration and mediation training and experience with approximately 300 hours in the substance and process of ADR from such organizations as the AHLA, the AAA and CPR; and have managed over 500 cases with various organizations – AHLA, BBB, FINRA, EDNY, EEOC and the Civil Courts of the City of New York, to name a few.

Fees and Hours

(i) Hourly rate includes preparation time. (ii) Hourly rate charged for travel time to hearing location that is two (2) hours or more one way. (iii) IRS mileage rates for travel by car over two (2) hours one way. (iv) Direct charges for train or plane transportation. Business Class airfare and transfers. (v) Room and Board for arbitration requiring an overnight stay.
$1500 if cancellation is not made within two (2) calendar days of the scheduled hearing date.
Working with AHLA, parties are expected to pay no less than 50% of the projected total costs before the first day of a scheduled session. An additional fee of no less than 50% is to be paid on the day of the hearing before the scheduled start time. Fee differences will be reconciled at the end of the hearing. These arrangements are subject to modifications based on the circumstances.
Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Meetings and hearings at night or weekends must be separately scheduled and rates negotiated on a case by case basis. Those times must fall within the hours below. Monday to Friday night hearings ending at 10:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday hearings starting at noon and ending no later than 10:00 p.m.
