I have 40 + years of experience in health law, including provider operations, peer review, employment, contracts, privacy, torts, and other aspects. Since 1991, I have served as a pro tem judge for Oregon circuit courts, hearing and deciding cases in many different areas. I have tried over 100 jury trials, most as first chair. As an arbitrator and hearing officer, I am well prepared, objective, and efficient in conducting the hearing and providing a reasoned decision.

Education
Fees and Hours
$325 per hour for travel in excess of three hours. Travel time generally is used for work related to the hearing or other event.
A fee deposit is required at the time of scheduling the event, with the amount based on the estimated length of the hearing plus estimated pre and post event work. If the event is canceled more than thirty days in advance, there will be a full refund less fees for work to date. If the event is canceled 14 - 30 days in advance, 50 % of the deposit balance will be refunded less fees for work to date. If the event is canceled less than 14 days in advance, the entire deposit will be earned and there will be no refund.
Fees are $650 per hour for pre and post event work and $6,000 per day for the hearing.
