I bring legal judgment, business experience, practical problem-solving ability, and a strong commitment to fairness. My objective as an arbitrator is to provide a process that is organized, respectful, efficient, and impartial, and to issue a decision grounded in the parties’ agreement, the governing law, and the evidentiary record. I am an attorney, mediator, arbitrator, and business professional with an MBA and substantial experience evaluating complex contractual and commercial issues. My background allows me to understand both the legal framework of a dispute and the business realities that often drive it. That perspective is especially valuable in healthcare disputes, where legal, financial, operational, regulatory, and relationship concerns often overlap. I understand that parties want an arbitrator who will be prepared, attentive, even-handed, and decisive. I work to manage proceedings efficiently while preserving each party’s opportunity to be heard. I believe arbitration should be fair, focused, and proportional to the dispute. I also believe a neutral’s temperament is critical: parties deserve a decision-maker who listens carefully, treats all participants with professionalism, and makes decisions without bias. My experience with contracts, business issues, damages, negotiation, and dispute resolution enables me to evaluate complex records and identify the issues that truly matter. I would be honored to serve on the AHLA roster and to provide parties with the fairness, preparation, professionalism, and sound judgment they should expect from a neutral.
